N is for nesting time

N is for nesting time in to-day's A-Z challenge.
Our model boat landing stage is home to a Chinese Swan Goose at the moment, who has built a nest and is sat on 4 Eggs at the time of the pictures taken.

Last year's mother produced more than this, but it's early days yet

Last year's mother produced 14 eggs

Is this the same mother I've been asked, but though I like birds I'm no expert ( and it's a year on so could have changed),  I don't know can you see any similarities ?, other than they are both geese.
The goose shows no fear of us stood there sailing our boats and is quite happy there, even though there are islands in the middle of the lake to nest on if she chooses!,perhaps she's out of the wind there.

This impressive goose is a daddy one!

There is a picture of my Chihuahua sat 6 ft away from Mother at the end of this video and she's quite unconcerned, he is tied up though.

Out walking on Saturday, (it was too cold with light rain to stand sailing) we had a walk round the lake and came across another mother nesting in the middle of one section of the lake, not as trusting as the Geese.

So its nesting time all round, there are islands all round the lakes so there could be dozens of mothers doing their thing, will have to wait for the hatchings to appear, the birds are as confused as us with the weather aren't they!.

Even my aquarium has got babies has you can see this baby Tuxedo Platy and lots of Guppies that are still hiding in the undergrowth
It must be love for everything.

Samantha said to the good-looking stranger: "Gee you look like my fifth husband."
The stranger was taken aback. "How many times have you been married?,he asked.
"Four,"  she replied

Very topical, and perhaps "N is for Nature" also today?
We saw a duck with just two little ducklings, yesterday, it`s a bit sad when you think they nomally lay about six eggs!
And also, two Swallows flitting about.....Summer in the wings!
