Welcome to my new Blog

Welcome to my Blog.
My Blog is mostly about my hobbies, ie Model boats, Cross Stitch, Gardening, Days out and about, Lego Technics and Photography you might recognize the hat rather than me. My models and other hobbies can be found in the Tabs at the top below the header picture.
There will also be entries of days out with my camera, weather permitting of course.

Micro Magic

I bought the Micro Magic after reading about it on the Micro Magic Association web site
Check it out here
And I thought it was an ideal alternative to the Fiesta and not as costly!.will also fit into the car fully rigged !.
And it does everything is says on the box !.

If you are thinking that its too hard then check out this step by step instructions found on the forum of the MM web-site
Easy isn't it and no special tools needed
I bought mine from Mark at "A Model World" and got a very good price !.

I bought the Racing version with Carbon fibre mast and booms as it was only a few pounds extra.
There is a nice little stand included and the wood laser cut parts only need teasing out and are a perfect fit.
The instructions and plans were very good and the only part not so clear was the part about the aluminium tube to put the mast in,I'm not the only one confused about that looking on the MM Web-site ! but I got it sorted and then as they say it was plain sailing from there on
I fitted a micro servo for the steering and a Futaba 3004

for the sail arm ,that's the ball raced version of the 3003

Here is the Fiesta together with the Micro Magic for size comparison, and yes to show I'm not bias that's my Fiesta too and  how about the stand only a £1 from the pound shop

Another feature of the MM is the movable keel and spacers

Maiden Voyage

I installed a AR6100 for my Spektrum transmitter and four "AA" batteries for the power supply.
Painted all white with spray paint from the car shop and transfers added. As no one else at the club had this model I thought I would make it as on the box picture so it could be seen for what it is.
As you can see from the MM Assoc web-site you can paint them any colour you fancy.
A Most enjoyable build and sails like a dream
