Sunday at Reddish Vale, 22.7.2018.

Had breakfast at McDonalds with Pepe , watching the health folks in their Lycra returning from the gym or park across the road and going into McDonalds for their breakfasts ??.
Then it was off to Reddish Vale to see what wildlife was in view.
We weren't disappointed as the Grebes were there with their chicks and they were all present and correct, Five in all!.
Mother had a preening session and chucked all the babies into the water, as you can see below I don't think they were alll ready for it!

Looked like some were having trouble floating.

Then it was all aboard again!

Plenty of Moorhen Chicks about.

Another bathtime.

The regular predators, but they all have to eat don't they.

Watch your legs Gully!.

Well the Mad, Mad, jigsaw is finally finished, just before my sanity gave out!, didn't take as long as I thought at first, perhaps I can get on with other jobs round the house now.

The next Jigsaw shown here is the next project bought for me by son John for Fathers Day, he must have thought the othe one was too much for me at my tender age!.

I've a mind like a steel trap -rusty and illegal in most countries.

I used to be schizophrenic, but we're all right now!.

Why did ET have such big eyes?
He saw the phone bill!.

Tuesday at the Vale, 17.7.2018.

Today at Reddish Vale it was quite a good day with plenty of wildlife about.

The box under the arches that had a Kestrel in last year today had another couple viewing the accommodation.

Just have a look inside, its quite roomy.

What do you think?, its got a nice bedroom in the back.

I think she likes it!.

Fancy an early night then?.

New Moorhens.

Thought the male Great Crested Grebe was making up to his mate, then noticed than she had some Black and White on her back!.

Yes the babies had finally hatched, when everyone thought the eggs were duds.

Wasn't sure how many babies.

After a cuppa and another walk round saw that the Male was helping out with the load, but he soon got fed up and dropped his off and went fishing, typical male hey girls!.

Then it was swimming lessons, Don't go too far away kids.

Flap your legs and not your wings!

Wheres Canada then Mum?.

Back seat driver.

Get your leg in!.

Not much room inside, but it's nice riding on top in the sunshine.

Then realised why there wasn't much room inside when they all fell off!, and there were five babies!.

So after feeding the big White Geese, (The Duck Whisperer?).
it was off for some dinner ourselves, hope you liked the Grebes, rather a lot but too cute to cull the pictures!

Had to stop on the way for Pepe to say hello to his friends.

Think it's only Cupboard love.

Rodger the Dog Whisperer?.

Plenty of Bees on these plants.

Lastly if you thought the Mad Jigsaw had finished up in the bin, this is the stage we are at at the moment, not at screaming point yet!

That's all folks, as Barnum said "Leave em wanting more"!
