Sunday at Reddish Vale, 5.8.2018.

Had a nice walk round the Vale on Sunday morning after the usual breakfast at McDonalds!.
It was a shame to only see one of the young Great Crested Grebe's on the day

This one staying close to its Mum!.

Dad was still keeping up with his feeding Mum and the youngster.

Its hard tiring work though!.

Three of a kind.

Colourful Terror -Pins

Mixed Bag.

Lovely Female Mallard.
Juvenile Robin, can just see a bit of Red coming though.

What am I then, smart a**e?, not a clue, A young female Chaffinch??.

The weather was still quite hot and humid so Pepe needed plenty of water

Even though he had a wash and trim only last week he is still suffering with the heat, look at the length of that tongue, can't beat a drop of Gorton nectar!.

That's all for now folks, hope you like the picture's.

Sunday at Reddish Vale, 22.7.2018.

Had breakfast at McDonalds with Pepe , watching the health folks in their Lycra returning from the gym or park across the road and going into McDonalds for their breakfasts ??.
Then it was off to Reddish Vale to see what wildlife was in view.
We weren't disappointed as the Grebes were there with their chicks and they were all present and correct, Five in all!.
Mother had a preening session and chucked all the babies into the water, as you can see below I don't think they were alll ready for it!

Looked like some were having trouble floating.

Then it was all aboard again!

Plenty of Moorhen Chicks about.

Another bathtime.

The regular predators, but they all have to eat don't they.

Watch your legs Gully!.

Well the Mad, Mad, jigsaw is finally finished, just before my sanity gave out!, didn't take as long as I thought at first, perhaps I can get on with other jobs round the house now.

The next Jigsaw shown here is the next project bought for me by son John for Fathers Day, he must have thought the othe one was too much for me at my tender age!.
