Third week of June, 22.6.2025.

The third week of June has been a scorcher, very nice but too hot for me and with my hay fever it's not been too good for me, it has rained in the night though, so that's been good for the gardens.

Monday it was off to the Vale and the Little egret was still there!, still on the other side of the pond though.

Get off my log you lot!!

It was a dull day but hot enough to bring the terror-pins out.

A Little Grebe fishing on the top mill pond.

The swan family were resting in the undergrowth on the lower mill pond, always one on guard.

Mallard family on lower mill pond.

Always Squirrels around for peanuts.

Heron on lower mill pond.

Wednesday it was off to Tameside Hospital for my heart scan, and would you believe it, they found one!.
They haven't had a very good name recently so I was a bit apprehensive, but to my surprise it was beautiful inside, very clean, and the waiting area was a 100% better than the car showroom last week.

Would have been nice if someone had opened these roof windows, was like a greenhouse on the hottest of days.

Arrived there 10minutes before my appointment at 12-00 and 5 mins later my name was called and I was scanned and out by 12-15!, how's that for service!, only trouble was car parking, same as everywhere that though isn't it.
What did the chap who did the scan say!, "You can go now" , suppose will have to wait for the GP to contact me now!.

Friday    it was over to the Gorton ressers, only for a walk and sit on the benches under the trees for an hour before meeting my mate for lunch at Morrison's.
It was overcast but still very hot, but it didn't bother this lot!.

All the above from the Debdale sailing centre so all watched over by the instructors in rescue boats,

The swan family.

What! only 4!.

But there was dad bringing up the rear with the last one.

Magpies love peanuts

The baby Coots were all doing well but some still expecting mum to get food from the bottom.

These two stood on the overflow, but there again they can't read what is says about not feeding them here!.

So it's been a good week, except the hour looking for a parking space at the hospital!, which I never found!, most spaces taken up by staff no doubt, I remember my daughter-in-law had her parking space take out of her wages!
Two of my great-grand children have birthdays today on the same day but a year apart, that's a coincidence for you!.
................................

Doctor, Doctor  I've hurt my arm in several places,
Well, don't go there any more.

Doctor, Doctor can I have a second opinion?,
 Certainly come back tomorrow!.

Doctor, doctor I feel like a pack of playing cards
"I'll deal with you later".
