Garden Centre Cafe Dog Walkers Club.

Today we had a day out together at Reddish Vale Country Park, we met at the Cafe there which was as you can imagine on school holidays full of parents and their children.
I even met my next door neighbours, with their lovely children, in fact all the children today were all well behaved and enjoying themselves!.
Our group all had a nice meal which we didn't have to wait too long for considering the fact they were full of customers, when it came it was nicely presented, hot and savoury and a reasonable price!.
Afterwards we went down to the information centre area and had a walk round to the small lake that the others hadn't seen before. It was nice and quiet and peaceful there and we had the place to ourselves, except for the wildlife!.

Heron.

Cormorant.

Drying out after a good fishing session.

Then it was back to the Info centre for a nice cheap cuppa, and a cornetto each.

I'd arrived early and had a walk round the larger lakes and saw some of the others birds there and the children were there in Canadian canoe's on the river.
No pictures of the kids, its not the done thing these days is it, they were all very keen to have a stroke of Pepe and were very polite about it!.

Nice fluffy Chaffinch

Beautiful colourful little bird's

The cygnets are both doing well  on the larger of the lakes

Mum very attentive and keeping her eye on Pepe!.

Plenty of cormorants there today.

The Great Crested Grebe Babies are both doing well

Quite different to the parents at this stage aren't they

Not sure what type this one is, no doubt mate Bob will let me know before I can find out myself!.

Also on my solo walk round found these colourful flowers/ weeds? with lots of bees all over them., they didn't seem to be bothered if they were Flowers or Weeds!
These were all taken with my IPhone, so turned out quite well I thought, so included them all!.

Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and can't stand in the driver ahead of you!.

One thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background, is that, deep down inside, we all believe
that we are above-average drivers!

If your wife wants to learn to drive, don't stand in her way!.

Tuesday, 4th July 2017.

Met a few of the mates at the Garden Centre Cafe today, had a good chat, putting the world to rights

Friend Jean had taken this photo earlier, the view from the Garden Centre Cafe.

Then had a walk down to the landing stage to see the members there.

The Body guard!.

A couple of mutants, nice colours though.

Went back to the GC Cafe just in time to see the new gazebo had arrived and Maggie and Ryan were putting it up.

Fills the whole seating area and though it looks a bit dark here there are going to be lights inside and on the tables.
Still meeting people who have been in the Lakeside cafe and are not happy with the new up market menu and prices!.

In case you missed the new GC Cafe Menu ( Maggie's Place) here it is again!.
More like the down to earth fayre we Northerners are used to, a walk round the park and a cuppa and a Bacon/Sausage Barm or what ever to round off the day!.

An apple a day keeps the doctor way,
But an onion does the job for a week!.

Due to a mix up in Urology, orange juice will not be on the menu this morning.

Harry got threw out of the hospital, because he took a turn for the nurse!

It's the way I tell em!.

Sunday 25th.6.2017.

This Sunday I went to Reddish Vale Park again though it was dull and drizzling, I thought the Kestrel's might have had their babies out on the veranda by now, but no lucky too wet perhaps only us Teal's out and about!.

Do plenty of people like and use the Vale, see this!

Some of the art work on the sides of the Information Centre

Though I didn't see the kestrel's, there was this nice Moorhen,

The Great Crested Grebe's nesting again, leaving the earlier brood to fend for themselves

Then out of nowhere spotted these Canadian Geese Goslings, 8 in total and quite grown up, I was surprised as I'd not seen any young chicks about over the past weeks.

There was this couple with one younger chick still with his yellow baby fluff.

Video of them on the move!

A forth coming attraction at the Vale, was there last year and was good!.

Monday at Etherow,

went to the Garden Centre Cafe as it's better for some of the old Breakfast club, whilst there the Couple we've met before with this Leonburger came in, As Pepe had met it before he wasn't too bothered!.

He's 10 and a half and weights 12 Stone!.

Think this little fellow followed me from the other Cafe as I fed him most mornings!, they're not daft are they.

Some very nice plants in the garden Centre at the moment, just had a new delivery!.

If you live in a glass house,
You should change clothes in the basement.

If you can't be a good example,
Then you'll just have to be a horrible warning!.

If flattery get's you nowhere, try bribery!.

Friday ,23.6.2017.

A big change in the weather today, dull and drizzly, consequently no one I knew at the lake, in fact visitors few and far between.
Had a drink in the Garden  Centre cafe and after a chat with Maggi the owner it was off on a short walk round the lake!.
Here are a few pictures taken on an earlier visit to Reddish Vale this week.
Just not good enough, but getting there.

A moorhen with her baby

Large feet but not as webbed as the a coot.
Excuse me if you think I'm teaching my grandmother to suck eggs as they say, but like you maybe, I'm in a learning situation as well and just passing on the information.

Majestic.

Hiding.

Baby Mallards

Juvenile Coot just starting to get his/her White forehead marking.

A couple of Baby Coots from Etherow, Red heads in the early stages, but then as above

And the odd chaffinch!.

Synchronised Swimming!

Well, that's it for today, at least it was a bit cooler, we are never satisfied are we!, one day its too hot and the next it's too dull and showery, still that's what we Brit's do isn't it, complain about the weather, we are lucky that's all we have to worry about I suppose!.
.........................................................................................................

I'm saving for a rainy day,
So far I've got a sou'wester, two mackintoshes and a Canoe!.

A vasectomy is never having to say you're sorry!.

Always keep your words soft and sweet in case you have to eat them.
