Whilst it was Sunny on Monday, it was still a bit nippy out of the sun.
Took this picture of Hartshead Pike with the zoom on my Nikon P900 from the back of Sammy's pool and across the canal.
Not sure how far away it was but could just make it out in the distance with my eyes, could have been even better with a clear sky!.
While in the area at the back of Sammy's pool, on the canal there was this Swan sat on a nest she had taken over from a Coot, in an earlier post the coot was sat on this nest that looked like a high rise flat, perhaps it was too good to miss for this Swan!.
Looks like she has a few eggs in the nest.
And sure enough there are four eggs.
Here is proud dad, making sure that Pepe is on his lead.
A little further along the bank was this Heron, a picture of patience aren't they.
Can't tell if he is laughing or yawning on this one, perhaps got a frog stuck in his throat!
Couple of lady riders from the nearby riding stables, very smart in their waterproof jackets, look like the Manchester Mounted Police.
Well that's it for another day, hope you are still following and not getting bored!.
