Sunday, 2 April 2017

2nd April 2017.

Was at Reddish Vale again today, always too busy to go to Etherow on a Sunday!, having said that The Vale was quite busy, its the sun that brings people out isn't it!.
Still managed to get a drink in the information centre, the Blue Tit on the TV screen in there didn't make an appearance today though!.

First nice scene was a Moorhen on her nest with a couple of babies!.

Dad was busy supplying lots of grub.

Get that down your neck!

Get back down again and keep warm.

A bit of peace at last whilst their asleep!

A nice dove .

The male swan wasn't as aggressive today and the female was out and about too.

This is the Male!

He has a Blue leg tag, which are called Darvic Rings, and he has been tagged in the Northwest of England.

The lady has a Green Leg tag, which is from Lothian & Fife, Scotland, so she has come a long way to find her mate.

They also have a small metal ring called a BTO ring on their other leg.
Marvellous what you can learn on the internet isn't it!.

Couple of Blackbirds spotted today

The white geese preening and in the background are the Great Crested Grebes going about their business.

A shot from the other side.

Only one Mandarin duck there, though at Etherow they seem to be taking over the park, must be better conditions for them there!.

Another lady in waiting is this Coot with Dad in the background shooing all the other nosy birds away.

Pepe nearly stood on another toad today, I think his nose is only tuned to doggie treats

And of course there was the usual Canada geese.

So another nice sunny day out with my boy Pepe!.

Signs.
Outside a radiator repair shop.
"Best place in town to take a leak!"

In a butchers shop.
"Let me meat your needs!"

In a dry cleaners window,
"Drop your pants here".

In a music library,
"Bach in a minuet".
