Last post of the month, 31.1.2022.

Last post of the month, my goodness where did January go!, I know it left me a year older!.

Still I suppose there are a lots of people that's died with Covid wished they could say that.

Been to our usual watering hole at Pear Mill Cafe On Saturday and today, wasn't too bad today but Saturday was very busy, guess it was the bad weather that chased people indoors.

This is a fancy cup isn't it, that's the novelty of the Café there, you never know what crockery your going too get.

Today's milk jug was a cow!.

The table decoration today was daffodils.

The Peregrines were in attendance too which is always a bonus for me.
On the way home on Saturday called at Morrisons and saw these frozen dinners so bought a couple at .99p each, polished off those over the weekend and went today for some more, but as usual they were all gone, bet they will up the price next time!!.

They were very nice though.

Friday we were at the Snipe for bacon butties and called at the Ashton Moss Nature reserve with some seed and fat balls.

Saw these Muscovy Ducks and various other birds.

 Blue Tit and Sparrow.

House Sparrow. Tree Sparrows have brown heads.

Was lucky to see this Reed Bunting.

Not a good picture, but they don't stay around too long, all black head and plenty of white underneath.

Female Mallard.

Yesterday (Sunday) we had a quick walk on the Ressers at Debdale and met a couple we had spoke to in the past and they had been to a camp site I'd suggested in the Lakes and they had been over the moon with it and had been kayaking on Ullswater!.

The lady mentioned that she once lived near the Mormon temple near Chorley, so was able to tell them that my Son had just recently helped in the replacement of the gold statue on the top of the spire there.

So they now know how big the statue is and how its placed on the top.

That's Son John in the Orange hard hat by the way.

At the Ressers we saw these.
Herons and Cormorants.

Spring is early this year according to Winterwatch though the temperature doesn't seem to be, but two weeks ago, we spotted these Snowdrops in Debdale park, and we have Daffodil's coming up in the garden trough in the front garden.

Well its into February tomorrow, lets see what that brings hey.
