Over the weekend, 5-6.6.21.

Been a good weekend for us!, Saturday went to Pear Mill Café and after a good meal and drinks went round the back to see if we could pick out the baby Peregrines and we were luck that they were busily wandering round the nest and testing out their wings.

Only saw two but someone on the website had said that one of them had left the nest.
Still it was nice to see the two before they took off.

Sunday saw us at McDonalds and Debdale park and reservoirs where we saw some youngsters having Speed Boat Lessons, brought back happy memories of my lessons of Windsurfing and Canoeing there many years ago, but still happily remembered.

Perhaps if I'd done the sail boat classes I'd still be going the less strenuous hobby now, still no regrets hey!.

The Debdale volunteers had done another good job this Sunday, with this large batch of bags of rubbish and they hadn't finished yet!.

Very good advise, even in this hot spell we are having.

The two resident swans are still together , but showing no sign off building a nest yet.

Pigeons showing them how to do it!.

Plenty of Coot chicks about.
Where's the grub Mum!!!.

No worries on the water with parents as aggressive as Coots.

Some of the chicks are already diving for their own food!.

This Moorhen investigating an old Coot nest.

The Great Crested Grebes don't seem to be doing any nest building either.

The older brood of Canadian Goslings were still doing well, but the other younger brood were on the other side of the fence so couldn't photograph them.

Unusual both broods have been together for days, perhaps they have had words!.

Today (Monday) we went to The Snipe Retail Park for a nice bacon Buttie and coffee at the "O'Neilds Meals" buttie wagon £3.20 good value and splashed out on another coffee to take back to Debdale.

Noticed that the new Costa Coffee shop was open today, with people sat outside enjoying the sunshine, if you look on the right side you will see they have one of those new idea's, a vertical garden, hope its self watering as if the staff are like the one's at Supermarkets that sell plants outside, they never seem to water them and hope they are sold before they die on them!.

Don't think O'Neilds will have anything to worry about with Costa Coffee's prices!.

So a good weekend for us again
