Friday 4.6.21.

Well I did say I would try and do a bit better in June but I'll bet you didn't expect another post so soon!.

We went to McDonald's for lunch today and then a walk onto the reservoirs  to see how the baby goslings were getting on and they didn't let us down today and came straight out of the water to feed on our seeds!.

Pepe and the chap in the hat has brought some seed again!.
Two broods here you can see the difference in size and colour of the chicks here.

As you can see the crèche system the geese use works very well, as all the goslings are present and accounted for!.

That structure in the water is so the water board take the water from the bottom of the lake so its less impurities to filter out.
The Reservoir is very deep and the water is in three levels and gets colder the lower you go down, that's why even good swimmers cramp up and drown though jumping in and going though to the lowest level suddenly.
There you are you've hopefully learn something today.

Close up of one of the second brood.

There they go, very fickle as are all animals, as soon as the foods gone, so are they.

Off to the grassy slopes of the sailing club, to sleep off their lunch.

It got too hot then for us and Pepe suffers in the heat with his long coat so it was back home early.
Another brew and a cool down in the shade.
