Friday 9 June 2017

Friday at Reddish Vale, 9.6.2017.

A quick visit to Etherow this morning but nothing much going on there once the breakfast club went home or about their shopping / housework.

This Baby gosling was wandering round the car park as we left!.

The inside of the car was like an oven!, so it was a No No for leaving Pepe in it whilst I went for dinner, so we went to the Butty Wagon in the car park next to Halfords on Lancashire Hill.

There got a Cheeseburger with two slices of Bacon and a coffee all for £3.90, and Pepe decided we will be going there again before long!.

So on to Reddish Vale.

A ski jump at Reddish Vale??.
There you have it, a picture in the new display cabinet in the info centre, Mate Bob went there to see it on his motorbike he said, bet the bike would be worth a fortune now hey, Bob!

The view from the Info Centre.

Round the Park today, it seemed to be Heron Day, with these three on the big lake.

The flasher!

The terror-pins were in full view

In close up

Another part of the lake had this beautiful heron on the bank, but when they are flying they look like Terror-dactyls, you know those flying things when dinosaurs were roaming the earth!.
Didn't manage a picture of it flying though, perhaps next time!.

The young Grebes are doing well and fishing for themselves.
"Look Mum I caught one".
"Don't speak with your mouth full Freddie".

On the crummy bit of water just inside the gate there was a Mallard with 7 babies!

Don't suppose the babies know any different, but you'd  think mother would find somewhere more healthy, still perhaps its safer there.

A lot cuter than the Coot chicks in the last post aren't they

Found out who's the Phantom Raspberry Blower!.
Do you remember the series of The Two Ronnie's with that in?.

He was getting fed up because I was trying to snap the Kingfishers on the small lake, didn't succeed though they are too fast!, saw them flitting about and think they have a nest in the bushes!.

Flowers round the lake,

On one of the benches.

Something for the ladies

Why do men call women Birds??.
Is it because they are always picking up worms?.

Only a man would buy a £500 car and put a £4.000 stereo in it.

Scientists have just discovered something that can do the work of five men,
 A Woman!
