Friday I went to friend Bob's after a visit to the Dentist (annual check up) we made arrangements for our trip to the Model Boat Show at Ellesmere Boat Museum the following day.
We have a large number of club members at our model boat club so even divided up we still showed a good presence at the two events on the same weekend, the other event was at Event City in Manchester.
So it was off to Ellesmere in my car and Pepe stayed with Bob's wife for the day, an event than seemed to be enjoyed by both of them I found out later.
And here I am at the show on one of the refurbished narra boats you can go on to see how the families lived and worked in those days
One of Bob's pictures cobbled to-gether so we are all on it, that's friend Charlie behind me and Ace Abell at the back!.
This is a good picture that Bob took of our good friend Ray Benson and wife, from the Colwyn Bay club, used to be a Etherow member but emigrated to Wales a few years back, it's a good club there, another friend from our club went to live there last year!, we always get an invite to their yearly regatta.
And here I am talking to the famous Neil Howard Pritchard ( Kit designer and builder) telling him about our club website and he surprised me by saying he had the site and this one as well on his PC favourites, praise indeed.
That's Charlie again clutching his Buys of the day and Ace Abell again doing what he does best snapping and chatting for his excellent reports to our website.
For a fuller report of our trip to the show go to the club website here
Sunday Pepe and I went to John's for dinner, Pepe and Jessie the Cockapoo are getting on every well now which is a relief as we are all going on holiday to Scotland again later this year!.
John did me some different business cards for the club as giving people one of mine and telling them to search on that to find the club site was not right, I thought it was a long way round as most people of our age seem to have enough problems getting round their PC's without added difficulties.
Yesterday Bob and I met at the lake and then went to "The Hare and Hounds" at Werneth Low for lunch, Bob drops his wife off there once a month so her and all her sisters and cousins can get to-gether and keep in touch, what a nice idea!.
Duckie and the Lunch ladies, usually seven of them!.
I mentioned to Bob that his picture wasn't up to his usual standard, with Joyce's red eye,( in black)
Got this one back with a new head on Joyce
Nice one Bob.
It would be nice to swap a 50 year old for two 25's as easy wouldn't it!.
The Hare and Hounds
View from the pub, pity it wasn't clearer, but no doubt will be going again.

When God created man She was only joking!.
There is nothing like horse riding to make a person feel better off.
