Thursday 24 September 2020

September nearly gone already. 24.9.2020.

After a drizzly start to the day it brightened up quite well, though still cool, but what can we expect with September nearly gone!.

A walk round Debdale Park a couple of days ago and snapped these nice roses in the garden reserved for the Volunteers who do a great job keeping the park looking nice for us!.

Don't ask what the names are, all I know is that they are a credit to the people who give their time and effort to produce them.

Round the reservoir saw this nice looking pigeon, sure its followed me there from home

Still only the one Great Crested Grebe there.

Our visit to Pear Mill today for a bite to eat and a chat was nice as usual and the table decoration today was this nice big flower.
You can see some parts of the stalls in the back ground.

My Goldfinches are still doing well and I'm getting well over a dozen everyday, think this couple are from the first of this years brood, as they seem to be getting their red faces now.

One of the regular pigeons at home.

The Cotoneasters I planted a couple of years ago are getting big now, they will provide some tasty berries for the birds in the winter months a head.

Got these nice white heather's from my friends Bob and Joyce the other day when I popped round with a pressie for Joyce's birthday, not polite to ask ladies their age is it!.

After the BBC cancelling the over 75s free TV licences they have had the cheek to give these people a whopping big pay rise, that's a slap in the face isn't it.
Perhaps we should have a whip round for the couple that have had a pay cut!, there again they are still getting plenty.
At this bad time it's a shame for some of the OAP's sat at home and their only enjoyment is a bit of telly even if its a lot of rubbish on at the moment, but that's only my opinion.

Well gripes out of the way, better finish before I upset anyone.

Always guard your rear while in hospital,
Remember your in Enema country.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away,
but an onion does the job for a week.

Did you hear of the chap that swallowed all the tiles from a Scrabble set.
Doctors said the problem will eventually work itself out, but not in so many words.
