Welcome to my Blog.
My Blog is mostly about my hobbies, ie Model boats,Cross Stitch, Gardening, Days out and about and Photography with pictures taken at and around our Model Boat club at Etherow Country Park, where I can be found quite a few days a week on the landing stage, you might recognize the hat and the dog rather than me. My models and other hobbies can be found in the tabs at the top above the header picture.
There will also be entries of days out with my long haired Chihuahua "Pepe", weather permitting of course.

Fitting Water Butt, 1 5.2017

On the way home from the lake today called at the "Toolstation/Wickes at Lancashire Hill where I got one at £19.95! with all fittings!, good job I looked inside though as there was nothing in the first one and the second was incomplete too!
so it was sorting out all the parts from different ones until I had a complete one.

Still at that price I don't mind a bit of extra effort with it!.

I'd had a water meter fitted last month and looking at the garden thought it was looking quite dry
already!, to use the hose pipe wasn't a good idea now.

First move this plant which wasn't happy there anyway.
Then paint the fence behind because it would be harder later.

Drilled a 25mm hole in the place already marked

Fit from the inside with rubber washer inside.

Remove blank and fit tap.

Place on stand and make sure its straight.

Fit collector box to downspout, join both with flexible pipe and jobs done!

Jobs done not looking too bad, thought the hose reel might be going shortly!.

Just want some rain now to fill it up, you watch we will have a drought now!.
Re-positioned the plant in a better area, Hopefully!.

If you were thinking of installing one, check the link below to see a professional do it on YouTube.

That's all folks.

    1. It was a lot cheaper to have a meter fitted, £59-00 per month to £18-00,
so then thought about watering the garden, that's when the water butt came in
