Catch up, April 2016.

Well, didn't realise its been so long since I last Blogged, so I thought I'd better do a catch up of things I've been up to lately.
Since the Christmas dinner with the Breakfast/Dog club at Etherow we've had a meal out at the Famous  Fish & Chip shop "Taylors" in Woodley, which I was told was very good and it certainly lived up to is reputation, very nice and waiter service once you'd ordered!.
The Cafe

Some of the ladies.

And some of the Gent's.

Then it was My Granddaughter Rachel's wedding to her Toby, who has not been back off his mission very long, was a bit of a surprise but there again its love isn't it!.

The proud Mum & Dad

Me and the Bride, yes that's me scrubbed up for a change!.

The Happy Couple, Rachel and Toby.

Outside it was a bit cool and windy.

But nice, warm and colourful inside!.

Toby singing to his new Bride.

Meanwhile back at the lake!,
If you thought you were going to miss out on the wildlife pictures think again, here are a few to be going on with!.

A visiting Bean Goose

A wren

Female Tufted Duck

And the Male

Spotted this Cormorant at Reddish Vale Country Park, drying out!

Quite colourful up close.

A Heron

Storking Heron!.

Pepe spotted this Toad, I hadn't noticed it and it was right at the side of me, about 3 feet away, well I am getting on a bit!.
It was Pepe's birthday on the 27th of this month, He's the grand old age of Seven, that 49 in our years isn't it!

Robin foraging for his dinner.

Quite tame at Etherow.
This odd couple have been together all last year, the white one is very small and quite cute.

Last but not least this beautiful Swan, preening itself, they certainly do a good job with those lovely white plumes.

Just got back from the Lake and its been snowing and blizzard conditions there, so Pepe didn't get much walking in today, not that he was bothered when he saw the snow!.

Well that's all for now, don't be so long next time Honest!.

Advice to teenagers,
Leave home now while you still know everything!.

Anyone going slower than you is an idiot,
anyone going faster is a maniac!.
