Another May gone, 31.5.22.

Well that's another May done with, its been a bit of a wet one at the end!.

Still it has freshened up the gardens, this is the field of gold at Debdale, the large tree in the centre is the tree that the Ring Necked Parakeets usually nest in.

The rose garden near the Hyde road entrance is starting to sprout buds.

Took some monkey nuts over to the park this week to see if it would
attract the Jays, but all we got were the magpies, still it was fun watching them try to get two in their beak at once.

Probably realized they would all be gone if they didn't get them straight away.

Dunnock.

Wood pigeon.

A Nuthatch, bit out of focus.

A Coal Tit.

A Great tit.

A Collared Dove on Camera, literally.

Acrobatic Squirrel.

Female Blackbird.

Who can resist a Robin?.

This Blue Tit was looking a bit bedraggled, think it's a new baby.

Of course we had to have an Ice Cream before coming home.

Pepe likes the bottom of the cornet with a bit of ice cream in.

Today at Pear Mill, we had an extra day as they will be closed from today until next Monday.

Peter G and David.

Todays, Tea Pot and cruets.

Outside the male Peregrine was sat on the tall chimney.

On Guard, though I doubt anything would try and get his babies.

I Haven't been able to get a picture of the babies yet, they are still in their box with mother.
The earlier picture taken with by the chap who ringed them last week.
Hope you all have a great weekend over this bank holiday!.

I was doing some decorating, so I got out my step ladder, I don't get on with my real ladder!.

Man walks into the doctor's
Doctor says "I haven't seen you in a long time", The man replied "I know I've been ill"!.

Chap went private, and doctor said "I'll have you on your feet in no time"

He did, he had to sell his car to pay the bill!.

This week, 23.5.22.

Not been a bad week this week, Monday met at Pear Mill Cafe as usual and had a good natter.

Afterwards went round the back just in time to see the chap finishing off his climb t the peregrines nest

And this is the pictures he took of the chicks after being ringed!.

Mother was close by and very vocal, telling the chap off.

Tuesday we went to Oldham to have Pepe washed and trimmed, will feel a lot better with the warmer weather now.

Whilst waiting for him I popped up the road to one of my favourite Cafés.

Inside is as nice as the outside, they took the time during lock down at decorate the inside I think.

The café is on the left and on the right is the bakery/cake shop, but you can walk though on the inside!.

Do a full English breakfast, but too much for me, the Bacon buttie's are enough for me.

After picking up the Pepe and giving him his bacon bits, (there would be hell to play if I don't save him some bits) we headed home via the charity shop I frequent in Ashton to hand in a finished jigsaw and picked up three more at £5.50!.

I'd thought this one would be a challenge at 500 pieces but when I got home realized it was 1,000 pieces, that should keep me out out mischief for quite a while hey!.

We called home for Pepe to have a drink, (He won't drink anywhere else) I tell a lie!, he will drink at friend Bob's but he's used to there.

Then it was off to Debdale to see the babies!.

Swans looking after Junior well.

This is a close up of the little fellow.

Learning to feed from the bottom here, but not quite got the hang of it yet.

As you can see the Goslings are different sizes, as the Canadian geese have a creche system and look after each others babies.

A few of the babies close up, how do you pick out the best!.

Had enough of me photographing them.

Back home there are loads of Starling and Sparrow babies, but no Goldfinches yet, other people have started to show pictures of Goldfinches so perhaps we will have some soon, hope so we have for the last three years.

Young Starlings.

If the blossom on these bush's are anything to go on, there should be plenty of berries for winter food for the birds.
