The 1st of June already!, where did April & May go?.
Went down to Reddish Vale after the crowds at weekend, you wouldn't believe the mountains of rubbish collected by the volunteers, what a marvelous job they do!.
Had a walk down into Sunnyside Woods, takes you to the river.
There was this family of Mallards down on the river.
Safer down there for them and us with less people around.
A photo shoot for Pepe stood on a fallen tree trunk.
Saw this Blackbird acting strangely, lay on the ground, at first thought it was suffering with the heat, but the other birds weren't bothered with the heat, perhaps faking injury to hide it's nest somewhere?.
My baby Goldfinches at home are doing well
Bet the parents are glad some of the youngsters are feeding themselves now.
Always get the slow ones I suppose, that's why the eggs hatch out at different times hey!.
As well as having no red face, the young ones seem to have mottled chest feathers as well
See what I mean!, the babies look like this after their first moult.
This was the Moon at about 8-00pm last night, though it is still quite light at that time isn't it.
