Went to Reddish Vale on Tuesday, 9.6.2020. was quite pleasant with not many crowds, so felt a bit better with the social distancing.
I think that even the dogs enjoy meeting up for a bit of company, Pepe with Tilly who we see each time we go to the Vale,
There was a coffee van there on the day, not sure if its going to be there til the info centre re-opens, but wasn't tempted as the toilets are still closed??.
This Heron just caught a tasty tiddler for its lunch.
Down the hatch it goes.
Plenty of baby Mallards about.
The usual gang of Squirrels, cute but don't think of leaving much for the birds.
A nice colourful Chaffinch.
The two swans still have four cygnets and here you can also see two terrapins on the right there.
There you can see one close up, quite colourful hey.
Today Wednesday we went to Pear Mill again to see if the Peregrine falcons were a bit more active that the last time we went, they were and the male was sat away from the nest, perhaps getting fed up now with the youngsters always begging for food.
Sat here for a while and then flew off up the chimney
Spot the falcon
Well there he is for you on the 10th strap up.
Meanwhile the youngsters are getting the feel of their wings and the largest of them so flapping it's wings all the time, I don't think it will be long before that one is off.
Very inquisitive this one.
The largest one kept flapping its wings building up it's muscles no doubt.
You can see the difference in size here.
So even though it started raining it had been a good trip out and that can't be bad these days.
