The past week, 19-26 Sept.2025.

Been a while since the last post, sorry about that folks, writers block perhaps.

My internet subscription was running out so I was offered a new contract, but it had to be fibre optic!, but with a two year contract it was cheaper than my present contract, even though next year it goes up by £3, it will still be cheaper than I'm paying now, so its all good and best of all its a lot faster and reliable!.

Had to move into the front room though, still I only use the computer to do my blog.

In the living room had a change round, not sure what's going in the place of the computer stand.

There was a post on the Reddish Vale website that someone had been attacked down there, so I have bought myself a pepper spray from Amazon, carrying a camera about makes one a target doesn't it.

Can just see it at the side of my bino's.

Had a visit to the Vale yesterday and the swan family are all doing well, the kids are all grown up now and only need their white plumage now.

A nice coloured Wigeon on the lower mill pond.

Some nice mallards posing on the top mill pond.

The dogs love the vale and these two were in and out of the water.

Someone has been doing a bit of carving and it's on display in the Vale, have you spotted it yet!.

Met a fellow photographer there called Lawrence and he took my picture feeding the geese and pigeons.

Earlier in the week I was over to the Gorton Ressers, beautiful weather!.

Sat in the shade for a while before off to Morrison's for my favourite meal.
It's on the kids menu but I love it and it's not too much.

I was glad to see that the resident Swan's were also doing well.

Looking down on the family you can see the kids are nearly as big as their parents!.

This one liked the seed I'd brought and climbed out to come to me.

Even young swans are big when close to you, but this one was quite calm and even ate out of my hand.

Plenty of pigeons to mob you!.

Back home the RSPB said a few years ago that sparrows were on decline, they aren't in my garden!, they can polish off 3 big feeders a day in my garden.

Here is one for my sister, the new all electric buses in Manchester.

This was instead of the Clean air system the council were going to introduce where you had to pay to drive in Manchester, Thanks to Andy Burnham the Mayor!.
Ps It's being said that he should be Prime Minister instead of Cur Starmer.
