Friday 31 March 2023

Last day of March again!, 31st, 3. 23.

Been a busy week for me, Monday was off to Pear Mill, meeting friends.

Tuesday it was off to Reddish Vale with the camera, though didn't stay long with the cold weather.

Met this dog with its owner, another photographer.

I said what breed is your dog mate?, to which his answer surprised me, its a white Schnauzer he said, I thought I knew my dogs but this one had got past me, it was very friendly with everyone.

Also there was

 The usual hungry Squirrels.

Jumping for joy this Great Tit.

A Coal Tit.

The pigeon with the twisted beak, have a job getting it off your shoulder to take its picture.

Cormorant on the top mill pond.

Ring necked Parakeet in the field where the horses graze.

Just the one pair of Mandarin's on the day.

Was surprised to see the information cabin was having a face lift, the volunteers were doing the under coat.

Wednesday it was off to the Windmill Carvery of my friend Jean's birthday party for the three of us Dog walkers!.

Thursday it was Pear Mill again with them, Jean even got a cake on the house for her birthday!.

This week I've finished what turned out to be my hardest wood model yet, this Marble run dragon, the laser cut was very good and fitted without too much fettling, it was the instructions that were the problem.

On the back of the box was a QR code to get the update they had come up with since the production!.

What was in the box?.

Lots of balls and tooth picks, and instructions.

All these wood panels and one plastic one

There were plenty of spare items in the box just in case you broke some of those very fragile circular pieces.

I was lucky or perhaps careful that I didn't need any spare bits

Here is the finished piece and when you turn the handle on the right there, the steel balls climb up the structure to the top and then cascade down to the right and then left.

Here is the video friend Jean took at Pear Mill, a few of the people there like to see my efforts.

So though very tricky, it kept me out of mischief, I had watched a build of it on YouTube but it was all in German, I've forgotten any German I'd learn in the army over there, it was so many years ago.
Still it was a good build and well worth the money and still cheaper than Lego!.

Today it was off to the Windmill again to meet my youngest Granddaughter with her newish baby George who was very good same as last time I met him in the last post.
It was a nice change or me and to add to that was the fact that the new  NHS hearing aids that SpecSaver have lent me because my private one was sent away six weeks ago and the suppliers don't have any, still I'm more than happy with these NHS ones best I've ever had, so I'm hoping to keep these and I'm looking forward to binning the others!.

This is a screenshot of the app on my phone that allows me to change lots of settings, this is absolutely brilliant!.
Its changed my life!.

My hair cutter was getting past its sell by date so I bought this from Amazon and its far better than the old one, and you can buy replacement heads too, for the shaver not your head though! sometimes that you be a better option hey!.
Very good can recommend it

So its been a very good week for me and I hope for everyone I've met and spoken to, perhaps I've brightened their life for a few minutes, that's all you can hope for in this life isn't it!.
