This week at Reddish Vale there was plenty of wildlife about!, there was this nice Moorhen and when her male brought her a twig and she stretched out for it, uncovered two of her babies, didn't see any others.
There were plenty of baby Coots about too.
The two cygnets last week looked like this,
This week they looked like this, quite a bit bigger and hopefully safer from predators!.
Plenty of squirrels.
Some of the terror-pins seem to be growing too, this one is the size of a dinner plate.
The other one isn't much smaller.
The local Herons still there.
The Maggi's
That's my boy!.
The two young Great Crested Grebes have disappeared, perhaps chased off by the parents as they have produced their second brood and very nice too!.
One sat on Mum's back here,
And there it is, with two in the water.
Got a good view here Mum!, sit still or you'll fall off again.
Unusual colours for the babies aren't they, but it must be natures way of camouflaging them.
That's the last, but there again you can't have too much of a good thing can you?.
Met a chap today at the Vale who told me he was in Reddish Vale Nature photographers, and here is the link
Some cracking pictures on there!.
