Been a while since the last post!.
I've had a think and decided that instead of boring you with lots of pictures in my post of birds, I've added a couple of links down the right hand side headed 'Interests' there are links to Reddish Vale Country Park, Friends of Daisy Nook Park and Stockport Nature Watch, all of which I am a member of and add my pictures to on a regular basis.
So if you are interested in birds, check out these links where you will find lots of pictures from me and also other photographers a lot better than I!, so lots to see there.
I'm hoping my future posts will be of a more general nature, that's not to say they will be more interesting but you never know, what a strange world it would be if we were all the same.
It's been a strange week this week at the parks with the children all on half term break and grand parents seem to be the thing these days with the parents having to work to pay the mortgages.
Somewhere to take the kids? you could take them to Reddish Vale country Park and visit the Small animal farm on the same road where I'm told they have acquired some new Meer-kats.
Free parking too.
Some of the things of interest in the park.
Want somewhere a little quieter, try the Community garden, Pepe there likes it.
Is it Spring, hopefully we won't get a cold snap or the new young plants will be done for!
There are Ring Necked Parakeets too!
Give us a kiss.
I know this is a child friendly site but its nature isn't it!
I wasn't sure what this bird was so asked Daryll the Warden at the Vale and he thought it was a Willow Tit but wasn't sure so asked a visiting RSPB guy and he said it could be that or even a Marsh Tit, they are so alike its only their call which differentiates them, so with my duff hearing I've no chance, mind you that comes in handy in noisy cafe's when the kids start screaming!, there's always a bright side to everything isn't there if you look for it.
So it was a first for me and the warden said a good find!.
The new camera seems to be alright, this is a picture passing over my house at 22,000 feet. can only see the contrails hey.
This is it taken with the 125x zoom with the Nikon P1000, not going to get much better with that and the atmospherics are you?.
The Moon over the last few nights, with different filters.
Hope you like the new Banner picture, not my work but Son John's.
So there you have it again so till next time, take care!.
