The past week, 2-8.5.22

 Not been a bad week, the rain has been mainly in the evening or night so that's not too bad.

Been to our regular watering hole a couple of times this week, but its been a bit quiet there, people must be going to the coast to catch up for the last couple of years lockdowns.

We are more country than coast people and that goes for our music as well. Have you heard David Allan Coe, his greatest hits are on my phone and plays though the music system in the car, has it seems new cars don't have CD players these days!.

We had a visit to Ashton Moss nature reserve this week and saw the female swan on her nest so hopefully will see some cygnets there soon. 

There are jackdaws there as well, don't seen them at many places.

At Debdale Nature garden centre the Bird table and camera have been moved as the bird poo was killing the plants underneath it.

Collared Dove.

Nuthatch with pellet.

Great Tit.

Cute Robin.

Know this to be a Coal Tit as you can see the white stripe up the back of it's head.

These pellets are nice.

Hang on there.

Great Tit  on the peanuts.

This squirrel showing it's got table manners.

Blue tit.

A couple of different types of gull on the Lower reservoir.

Black headed gull.

Herring Gull.

The pair of Great Crested Grebes have taken over the Coots nest that  had been abandoned.

Hopefully we will see the babies riding on her back soon.

Still getting over the fact that two of my friends have died in the last week or so, I know people die everyday, but it hits you when you  know them doesn't it.
