Monday it was a nice sunny day so after a bit of housework it was over to the Gorton Reservoirs to see the babies of which there are plenty at this time of year.
It's been quite nice the last few days and the Northern lights have been see over most of England, of course I forgot on the night it was forecast for and tried the next night but only got this picture of the moon, what a gorppp!.
Back to Gorton and down to earth, this is the scene five minutes from my home, only a few minutes from the city centre, not that I go there much these days, but its very nice to have on your doorstep isn't it.
These baby Mallards with their mother soon came dashing across the lake when they saw me with food.
Soon got to this size.
These Canada geese babies at the waters edge, they aren't all belonging to this couple, they have a crèche and the adults keep their eyes on each others babies.
After lunch it was still nice and sunny out so it was off home and into the garden.
Though the brickwork isn't cemented in yet, don't think Alfie is that strong to push the wall over, so put him in his summer outdoor play area to see how he liked it, at first he kept hiding every time a pigeon flew over, (I'd just feed them) will have to remember not to do that next time, but eventually he got used to them and started to explore the area and discovered the area is full of dandelions!!, food!.
The back and right side is secure, but have to cement the front and left side of the wall, been waiting for the better weather.
Tuesday
It was Pear Mill café today with the gang, full house today with David and his wife Sheree in attendance too.
Changed the bed today and put on a thinner duvet, if the weather takes a turn for the worse it's my fault folks sorry!.
So it's been a nice few days for me and Alfie.
