Some more bad news I'm afraid.
The Team of doctors looking after Velda have stopped Velda's chemotherapy after the team meeting Thursday morning and won't be doing anymore has they say the tumour has started to effect her bowel working and she is not able to keep any food down at all now, so it was either St Annes Hospice or home, on the day she said St Annes but I think she was thinking of me!, yesterday she said she had changed her mind and wanted to come home and when I said of course I got the biggest smile I've seen in months and it made it all worth while!.
No news yet until after the week end as to when she will be coming home but it won't be long as they need the bed for someone they can help more I suppose.
I think The Christie have been marvellous and we couldn't have asked for better treatment but unfortunately they can't do miracles!
Must get stuck in now and make the place habitable for a lady.
Bad news indeed. I am so sorry to hear it. I hope Velda has some peaceful and happy days at home ahead. I will be sending positive and healing thoughts her way. I know you will give her the very best of care.
