I bought a pre-owned one as they call it these days and though the chap said he'd misplaced the receiver I wasn't too bothered as I intended to replace the electric's and it was a fair price.
I cleaned up the hull and replaced the deck patches and added a side strip to hide a bump!
and replaced the sail servo to a Futaba S30004 which is the ball raced version of the S3003 the standard one
The rudder was replaced and a new S3003 servo fitted
I then updated the side stripes and changed the deck patches
I'm told that this was one of the first Fiesta's in the club and the start of the club racing them, its certainly done the rounds and everyone seems to have owned it at one time or another
Perhaps they wanted to update to a faster one, but that's the idea they're supposed to all be the same, perhaps it was their racing abilities and not the boat !
Found it leaked slightly and found a pin hole where it had been hit ,after squeezing filler in from the inside and smoothing off on the outside it cured the problem.
Fiesta's with a number before 250 are known as Fiesta Classic's and after 251 as Fiesta "M" s
Lately the receiver has been changed to a Spektrum AR6100 to go with my Spektrum transmitter
The Fiesta racers will probably look at this picture and tell me its not set up right but I love it !
While on my travels to other clubs and the Net I found this idea for a stand for small yachts and it was only a £1 from the pound shop
You can't even buy the wood for that can you! and when the seats are full you can even still sit on it!.
